Sketch & XD to HTML

Sketch and Adobe XD files converted with the same pixel discipline we apply to Figma — including a clean exit path for teams leaving XD.

Not every team moved to Figma. Sketch is still the tool of choice for plenty of Mac-based product teams, and there are years of Adobe XD work sitting in archives that still needs to ship. We convert both.

Sketch files carry a lot of structure worth preserving. Symbols, shared text and layer styles, and Smart Layout all describe how the design is meant to behave — and all of it survives the trip into our markup. Symbols become reusable classes, shared styles become custom properties, and Smart Layout resizing becomes flexbox.

Adobe XD needs a slightly different conversation. Adobe has wound down active development of XD, so most of the XD work we see now is either a final build of an existing design or the first step in a migration. We handle both, and we will tell you plainly which situation you are in.

Rebuilding in Figma is the other half of that job, and we do it as a service — see HTML to Figma for how an existing site becomes a properly componentised design file rather than a flat import.

If you are migrating, the HTML we deliver becomes a useful reference point. A coded, tokenised build documents the real spacing scale, colour set and component inventory of your design — which makes rebuilding it in Figma considerably faster than tracing screenshots.

We accept the native files (.sketch, .xd) as well as exported assets. Native is better: it gives us the true measurements instead of whatever a PNG export rounded them to. If you can only send exports, send them at 2x and include a spacing note where you can.

Everything else is the same as any other project: hand-written, W3C validated markup, responsive across real devices, delivered on a fixed price and a fixed date.

What we work from

  • Native .sketch files, including symbols, shared styles and Smart Layout
  • Native Adobe XD files, including components, states and stacks
  • Exported PNG, JPG, PDF or SVG at 2x when native files are not available
  • Zeplin, Avocode or Abstract handoff links
  • A written brief for any interaction the static file cannot show

Moving off XD or Sketch onto Figma? Tell us in the brief and we will structure the build so it maps cleanly onto whatever you rebuild next.

FAQ

Sketch & XD to HTML — questions we get asked

Is Adobe XD discontinued?
Adobe has wound down active development. Existing files still open and still convert perfectly well, but if XD is your main design tool it is worth planning a move — and a coded build is a good first step.
Do you need the native file?
It is strongly preferred, because it carries exact measurements and styles. We can work from 2x exports plus a spacing note, but expect a few more clarifying questions.
Can you convert a Sketch library into a component set?
Yes. Symbols and shared styles map naturally onto a reusable CSS component library — that is one of the better reasons to start from a native Sketch file.
