PSD to Bootstrap conversion

The customisation happens at source level. We import Bootstrap through Sass and override the variables before the CSS is generated — grid gutters, spacing scale, type ramp, border radii, shadows, breakpoints and the full colour map. Your design tokens become the framework defaults, so the components inherit your brand instead of being patched over with a second stylesheet fighting the first.

Bootstrap 5 also removed the framework’s biggest historical liabilities. jQuery is gone, so the JavaScript bundle drops by roughly 30KB before you write a line of your own. Components expose CSS custom properties, which means a variant can be themed at runtime rather than recompiled. And the utility API lets us generate exactly the helper classes your design needs rather than shipping several hundred that never get used.

Dark mode is native in 5.3 through colour modes, so a design with a dark variant is implemented with the framework rather than around it. Right-to-left is a supported build target too, which matters if you publish in Arabic or Hebrew — retrofitting RTL later costs far more than selecting it at build time.

We only ship the parts you use. An unpurged Bootstrap build is a large stylesheet where most rules are never matched; the compiled CSS we hand over includes the components your design actually contains. On a typical marketing site that is a fraction of the default weight, which is most of why these builds pass Core Web Vitals without a separate pass.

Accessibility gets checked rather than assumed. Bootstrap’s components have sensible ARIA built in, but that guarantee ends the moment a component is customised — so we test focus order, keyboard operation and contrast on the finished build against WCAG 2.2 AA, not on the framework defaults.

And we will tell you when Bootstrap is not the right choice. It is excellent when you want a proven component set and a team that already knows the class names. If your design is highly bespoke and shares little with Bootstrap’s components, you are mostly overriding a framework you paid to load — Tailwind or hand-written CSS usually produces a smaller, cleaner result. We will say which we would pick and why.
